While the typical nativity scene depicts three wise men coming to the stable, the Bible does not give the number, most likely a lot more than three, and, they came to the house when the Lord Jesus was about 2 years old. This song thus takes us from the modern nativity scene and asks us to seriously consider the true gift of Christmas, the giving of the Lord Jesus to take our place in the most stringent and just legal system of eternity.

Joseph and Steve began singing together in 1987 when they met at Hackham South Christian Church in Adelaide.
